Battlefield Street Design Project – Public Consultation

Thank you to everyone who has been involved in the Battlefield Street Design project so far. Below is a summary of what the project’s about, what we’ve done so far and upcoming events. Please subscribe to this post to receive further updates about the next stages.

What’s the project about?

The project came about as a result of Battlefield resident’s response to the Victoria Infirmary development. Sustrans Scotland has partnered with Glasgow City Council on a one year project to develop design proposals for the area around Langside and Battlefield.

To find out more details about the project please take a look at our display boards from the last public session.

What we’ve done so far

Over the last 5 months we’ve been engaging with the public through events, meetings and collecting comments through our project website. In total we have led 13 activities, with over 700 attendees through street workshops, stalls, design sessions, walking audits and also engagement with young people at Shawlands Academy and Battlefield Primary school and Langside College. Meetings have also been held with local people, business owners and representative groups alongside detailed survey and analysis work.
